Using recycled board and other sourced paper, this inventive and striking art reflects a period in the artist’s life when she found herself dislocated and unsure.

Constantly on the move, one of Famie’s boxes ripped apart, throwing her Bob Marley CD and a book on Dali into a puddle. She says: ‘Disaster is often an effective time out for thinking. I looked down at Dali and Marley and mused on the idea of stripping away the glamour to reinterpret famous faces in a ‘down and dirty’ kind of way. So that torn box seemed a good thing to re-invent. It became a new lease of life for the box, the famous faces and me.’

Her technique of ripping, peeling and stripping the shadows away from these iconic images forms an exclusive collection which she describes as her own personal ‘Wall of Fame.’

This collection features Ray Charles, Bob Marley, Audrey Hepburn, Carmen Miranda, Elvis Presley, Diana Princess of Wales, Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo and Sid Vicious.
